Prez Murmu, PM Modi condole deaths in TN cracker unit blast

CHENNAI, Apr 19 : President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra and leaders of various political parties on Sunday evening condoled the deaths of more than 20 workers in a cracker manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu.
In her condolence message on X, Ms Murmu said the loss of lives in a tragic accident at a firecracker factory in Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu is deeply distressing.”
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. I wish the injured a speedy recovery”, she added.
Mr Modi, in his condolences said, the accident that occurred in Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu is deeply distressing.
“I convey my deepest condolences to those grieving the loss of their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover swiftly: Prime Minister. @narendramodi”, the PMO posted on X.
Leaders of various parties, including Chief Minister M K Stalin, Opposition AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami, its alliance party leader PMK Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Anbumani Ramadoss, TNCC President K Selvaperunthagai also condoled the deaths of innocent workers in the cracker unit explosion that was triggered due to friction while mixing chemicals for manufacturing crackers.
