Present regime has lost will to govern: Bhalla

JAMMU, Apr  20: Intensifying mass resistance against the ‘anti-people policies’ of PDP-BJP combine in Jammu, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today said that there is large scale disenchantment among people of all walks of life over abject collapse of administrative edifice and verdict against the irresponsible and insensitive Government.
While interacting with the people at Pamposh Colony in Channi area today, he said the  Government is directly responsible for creating mess in over three years of taking over the reins of administration and putting the State virtually at the point of disintegration. He said that on the name of development and good governance only hollow slogans have badly demoralized the innocent people who are still wandering and searching Govt which is non-approachable and invisible so far.
Criticizing the Government for ignoring the common man in the State, Bhalla  alleged that PDP-BJP dispensation has totally lost its credibility due to its mis-governance, which led to the failure of Government on all the fronts. He particularly mentioned the water crisis in the Malik Market area following which general public of the area going through extreme hardships to manage water for household affairs be it drinking water, water for cooking and bathing.
Bhalla expressed disappointment over the fact that to meet the scarcity of water in the area Congress Govt had built water tube well in the area but the present Govt could not start it. He warned the Govt if the issue of poor water supply was not issued people of the area will hit streets and roads and will also block national highway if the Govt remains callous in addressing the issue in shortest possible time.
Coming down heavily on the PDP-BJP Govt over its lack of will to govern, Bhalla viewed with concern the fast deteriorating scenario in parts of the State, leading to developmental slow-down and drop in tourism activity.
Bhalla cautioned the people not to get trapped again by the rhetoric and tall pronouncements of  that party and exhorted them to support Congress. He said the BJP Government at the Centre had miserably failed to check inflation in the country and the prices of almost everything had doubled since the party came to power.
