SRINAGAR, Nov 5: The premature and mid-session transfers in Technical Education Department have affected the training programmes of around 26 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of Kashmir valley.
The Director Technical Education, J P Singh, transferred instructors and Ministerial staff in the department prematurely and in mid-session leaving number of institutes without instructors and Ministerial staff. The transfers have affected the trainings in the ITIs across Kashmir valley where around 6000 students are under training.
Sources said that the class work for the session 2013-14 started from first week of September this year instead of first week of August, causing one month’s delay. And in October transfers of instructors and Ministerial staff were made and the transferee are still handing over and taking over the charges affecting the trainings.
The trainees said that examination of the first semester is due in January 2014 and in most of the ITIs across Valley only 5 per cent of the syllabus has been completed.
