JAMMU, Feb 25: J&K Prajapati Sabha here today celebrated 700th Prakash Utsav of Sant Shri Gora Ji Maharaj under the chairmanship of Ayoudhya Kumar Manawa, Sabha president.
A large number of devotees from all districts of Jammu division attended the function.
Sunil Prajapati, president BJP OBC Morcha was prominent among others present on the occasion.
The function started with Aarti followed by Bhajan and Kirtan.
Addressing the gathering, Sabha president raised the demand of 27 per cent reservation to OBCs.
He also demanded implementation of orders of Supreme Court regarding Mandal Commission Report in J&K.
Manawa thanked the Government for extending political reservation to OBCs in Urban Local Bodies and Panchayats.
Meritorious students and scholars of the community were also felicitated on this occasion.
F.C Satia, general secretary of the Sabha accompanied by Ramesh Chander conducted proceedings of the programme.
Jeet Singh Sangotra, Madan Lal Baldotra, Punnu Ram, Manga Ram, Krishan Lal Daffara, Kartar Singh, Ashok Tadia, Sain Dass Tadia, Rajinder Prasad, Vijay Kumar, Ashok Baldotra and others were also present on the occasion.
The function culminated with the serving of Langar to the devotees.
