Prajapati Sabha takes up issues with DC

SAMBA, May 22: A deputation of Prajapati (Kumhar) Sabha of District Samba led by Vice Chairman, OBC Development Advisory Board Rashpaul Verma, District President Bua Ditta and Chief Advisor of the Sabha Ashok Badyal met Deputy Commissioner Samba.
A large number of Kumhar community people drawn from various parts of district Samba accompanied were also part of the deputation.
A memorandum enlisting the various demands was presented to the DC Samba.
Among others the main demands which were raised were permanent registration of the pottery clay sport of Chak Manga Samba to the Kumhar community people so that these people may not suffer for want of pottery clay and continue their job of pot making for their livelihood. It was also demanded that the trade of pottery be started in the ITI Colleges of the State so that the unemployed educated youth of the community can get their pottery training on modern techniques.
Deputy Commissioner gave patient hearing to the issues raised and assured early redressal.
