JAMMU, Apr 25: The Public Sector Public Relations Forum (PSPRF) and the Press Club of India today celebrated the National Public Relations Day in New Delhi.
The event, organized in association with the PR Society Delhi, aimed to acknowledge and honour the contributions of public relations professionals, mentors, and gurus in the industry. The event saw the participation of industry leaders who discussed the challenges and opportunities of PR in the digital age under the theme “Digital Media & PR: Mastering New Age Challenges.”
The event honoured PR veterans and media personalities, including RK Nair, former ED (CC) of NTPC, Professor Jaishree Jethwaney, Head of Corporate Communications for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, and Anuj Dayal, head of Corporate Communications for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, with Lifetime Achievement Awards.
A keynote address was delivered by Amandeep Singh, VP of Indraprastha Gas Limited, on “Challenges of PR in the Digital Era: the Domination of Big Data, AI & Analytics,” and Deepak Goel, Group CEO of Digitally Next New Delhi, spoke on “Digital Journalism: Opportunities for PR & Media Professionals.”
The Public Relations Society Delhi (PRSD) and the Public Sector Public Relations Forum (PSPRF) are associations of PR professionals with a vision to promote the recognition of public relations as a profession and its vital role in the management of organizations’ business.
The societies have on board professionals from various disciplines, including media, corporate communication, corporate affairs, and veterans of the PR profession.
The event helped shed light on various aspects of PR in the digital age, providing a platform for industry professionals to come together, network and discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
