SAMBA, Aug 26: PPND GDC Samba collaborated with Social Welfare Department Samba to organise a symposium on “Nasha Mukt Bharat” today.
Prof (Dr) Twinkle Suri was the Chief Guest on the occasion while as Nawaz Sharif, District Social Welfare Officer was the Guest of the Honour.
A statement said that the symposium was attended by college students, NCC, NSS volunteers, teachers, and members from Social Welfare Department.
It said that Nikhil Singh, a student of fifth semester bagged the first position in the symposium while as second and third positions were claimed by Sneghi Sambyal of third semester and Shubham of fifth semester.
In his address, District Social Welfare Officer, Nawaz Sharif, underscored the collective commitment of GDC Samba and Social Welfare Department in combating the menace of drug abuse by fostering awareness and empowering youth.
Dr Twinkle Suri, Principal of the college, motivated the young learners of the college to focus and channelize their energy in a positive direction in order to build an “Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
The function concluded with recitation of National Anthem.
