JAMMU, Feb 17: Provincial Power Employees’ Union (PPEU) highlighted their demands in a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Shakti Gupta.
The meeting discussed employees’ burning demands like making accommodation available to shift duty staff at their duty place/in the concerned office, inclusion of Junior Engineer and Assistant Engineer in the shift duties chart and provision of free electricity to PDD employees.
Besides, the members demanded that DPC of all cadres be held on every six months as per Government rules. The participants also stressed for releasing seniority list of Tech-III and salary of daily rated workers at the earliest.
It was informed to the meeting that all these demands were taken up by the Union with Chief Engineer, EM&RE Wing, Jammu on February 15, 2017, who assured the Union to take up the demands with higher authorities and also directed the concerned Executive Engineer telephonically to make available accommodation to the shift duty staff at the earliest.
