JAMMU, May 15: Powergrid Kishenpur Substation today organized a free medical health checkup camp through M/s HLL Life Care Limited (HINDLABS) for the benefit of the people residing in surrounding areas of Kishenpur (Kharta) today under Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
This is one of such camps conducted at 100 number locations near Powergrid substations all over India today. The camp was organized at PHC Dispensary Kharta from 9 am to 3-30pm. Near about 500 people of mixed community from the nearby and far flung areas visited the camp and got their medical examination conducted free of cost.
Requisite medicines and gift packs comprising of tooth brush, tooth paste, hair oil, shampoo pouch etc were also distributed among the patients.
The expert doctors from PHC Dansal under the leadership of BMO, Dr K L Gupta checked the patients and carried out health check up of blood sugar, HB, blood pressure, height measurement, weight measurement, eye check up etc.
Besides, the health talks on different aspects e. g health and hygiene , healthy diet to prevent malnutrition, Dengue, Malaria, water borne diseases, communicable diseases, diabetes mellitus, effects of minor marriages, bad effects of addictions, tuberculosis awareness, including preventive and cure were given.
The camp was organized under the leadership of Ranjan Bhola, Chief Manager Incharge Kishenpur Substation.
