JAMMU, May 6: In order to conduct tests of capacitance and tan delta and to carry out the work of preventive maintenance of 132 KV PCCL line bays and allied equipment at the Grid Station, the shut down of 1×50 MVA,132/33 KV Grid Station Mahanpur has been allowed and due to this the power supply to Kathua, Basholi, Mahanpur, Bhoond, Bani and partially Billawar Tehsil will remain affected on May 8, 2013 from 9 a.m to 2 p.m as both PCCIL, Sewa-Mahanpur and Mahanpur-Kathua, 132 transmission lines will remain off during the shut down.
Meanwhile, in order to carry out urgent repairs of 33 KV GG-2 and GG-3 lines and insertion of poles in the longer spans under 33 KV G-3 line at Greater Kailash and Satyam Vihar emanating from 220/132/33 KV Grid Gangyal, the power supply to Greater Kailash, Kaluchak and Ratnuchak fed from GG-3 line would be affected on May 9, 2013 from 7 am to 2 pm, Marble Market and Satyam Vihar fed from 11 KV G-3 and 11 KV CH-7 line would be affected on May 9, 2013 from 7 am to 2 pm and Trikuta Nagar, Kunjwani and Seora-Babliana fed from GG-2 and GG-3 lines would be affected on May 9, 2013 from 7 am to 8 am and 1 pm to 2 pm respectively.
