Power shut down

JAMMU, Aug 11: On the request of Chief Engineer, System and Operation Wing, Jammu, the shutdown of both the transformers i.e 2x 50 MVA, 132/33 KV EMCO & CGL at 132/33 KV Grid Station Janipur will be availed for two days onAugust 13 & 14 from 7 a.m to 11 a.m.
As intimated by Chief Engineer, S&O Wing Jammu, during the shutdown period, the power supply to the areas fed from 132/33KV Grid Station, Janipur i.e. Janipur, Bhalwal-I, Bhalwal-II, Muthi, New Secretariat, Sheetli and Subash Nagar will be affected. However, Receiving Station Sheetli will be fed from Grid Station Gladni and Receiving Station New Secretariat will be fed from Grid Station Canal during the shutdown period.
Meanwhile  shutdown of 220/132/33 KV Grid Station Gladni will be availed on 13-08-2015 from 6 a.m.  to 11 a.m.
As intimated by Chief Engineer, S&O Wing Jammu, during the shutdown period, the power supply to areas i.e Sidhra-I and Sidhra-II, 132 KV KT line, 132 KV Gangyal/Miran Sahib line, 132 KV Grid Station BB-I, Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Residency Road area, Dhounthly Bazar, Karan Nagar and Kachi Chawni etc will be affected.
In order to carry out the branch cutting of trees underneath 66 KV Hatli Village line, tightening of jumpers and its routine maintenance of 66/11 KV Sub-Station Hatli Village to avoid unnecessary tri and Residency Road near Electric Sub Station pings, the shutdown of 66 KV Hatli Village feeder has been allowed on August 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The areas which will be affected due to shut down include Hatli village, Marole, Oat, Mangot, Dukth, IID Centre and their adjoining areas.
Meanwhile for carrying out the work of PCC poles erection and installation of HT/LT cables as requested by M/s IRCON International and R-APDRP Project, the power supply to Gujjar Nagar from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on August 13, 2015 and Residency Road near Electric Sub Station from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on August 13,14, 17 & 18 will remain affected.
