JAMMU, July 27: Power Employees and Engineers Coordination Committee (PEECC) today resolved to suspend operation in all the offices and power stations from July 30 and also served a work boycott notice to the Management.
In a meeting of the JKPEECC held here today and attended by Jaipal Sharma, Chairman, JKPEECC Jammu, Sachin Tickoo, general secretary JKEEGA and convenor PEECC Jammu, Ashok Kumar Dubey, vice-president JKEEGA, Sanjeev Bali, president PPEU, Deep Mehra, PPEU, Ajaz Kazmi PPEU, Anil Salathia, Lineman and Workers Union, Jasbir Singh ITI Employees, HD Singh TEF, Tarun Gupta, president, PEU, Balbir Singh Draftsman Association, Jasbir Singh ITI Employees, Kulbir Singh, PEEU, all the members expressed strong resentment over the casual response to the work boycott notice served to management on July 23, 2021,wherein one week time was given for the revocation of suspension and attachment orders of Executive Engineers and Assistant Executive Engineers besides 14 Meter Readers issued by the PDD/ JPDCL authorities.
Accordingly the Coordination Committee has decided to go ahead with the work boycott call from July 30, 2021 across Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was also attended online by Munshi Majid Ali, president JKEEGA and Convenor PEECC Kashmir.
The said attachment and suspension orders are arbitrary, beyond comprehension and the staff in question have an impeccable record throughout their service career. During the peak summer they have been doing every effort within the limited resources, manpower to maintain smooth power supply.
The employees are now under severe stress and if such arbitrary orders are not revoked immediately, the Power scenario could get disturbed starting July 30, 2021 as all the employees from top to bottom are united on the issue.
