Power employees project demands

RAJOURI, Dec 5: Provincial Power Employees Union, Rajouri unit discussed burning issues of the Electricity employees in a meeting held here today.
The meeting in this connection was held under the chairmanship of Shiv Rattan at Electric Sub Division-I Rajouri today. The speakers during meeting expressed full faith in the leadership of PPEU which is struggling for the last over four decades for the burning issues of the Non-Gazetted Power employees.
The speakers strongly demanded regularisation of the temporary/ daily rated workers/ casual labourers and release of the wages of these employees. They said many of them are working even for the last about 25 years. Majority of them are working now in JPDCL.
The Union leaders- Shiv Rattan, Suresh Chander and Mushtaq Ahmed urged the higher authorities in the JPDCL to conduct DPC of Tech-III who have been deprived of even a single promotion for the last more than 25 years. Many of them are at the verge of retirement now. These people may be promoted so that vacancies are created for the regularisation of the daily rated workers.
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion included-Suresh Chander, chairman Rajouri unit, Aftab Dar, Zulfkar Ahmed, Vinod Kumar, Mushtaq and Javed Iqbal.
