RAJOURI, Aug 31: At least 800 chickens were charred to death as a poultry farm suddenly caught fire during afternoon in Sunderbani area today.
Official sources said that poultry farm belonging to Uttam Singh, son of Prittam Singh, resident of Marchola village started burning at around 2 pm today. The big flames engulfed the entire structure within minutes.
The villagers and workers tried to douse the fire but could not fight big flames. At least 800 chickens were charred to death in the incident. Police has taken cognizance of the matter.
