Posts vacant for 2 years abolished

JAMMU, Mar 8: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has advised all the Administrative Secretaries not to refer the posts under direct recruitment quota, which have remained unfilled for the last more than two years, to the recruiting agencies.
A circular in this regard has been issued by the Finance Department (Codes Division), according to which instructions in this regard were already there vide number 1/97(02)-Sgr-210(s), dated, 7/2021, according to which all posts, except newly created, kept in abeyance or remaining vacant for a period of more than two years in any department, would be considered as deemed abolished.
“The department shall obtain the prior concurrence of the Finance department for revival of such posts before referring them for recruitment in unavoidable cases,” read the fresh circular, adding that the department shall also not project the deemed abolished posts in the budget estimates/revised estimates.
