JAMMU, Mar 29: The State Government has impressed upon all the Administrative Depart-ments to ensure that the posts reserved for settlement of SRO-43 (militancy related) cases are kept reserved only for such purpose.
According to a circular, issued in this regard, it has been observed that some of the departments have utilized these posts for adjustment of candidates outside the purview of SRO-43 and such delinquency not only causes inordinate delay in final settlement of these cases but has also lead to litigation and defeats that very purpose of this scheme.
It is therefore, impressed upon all the Administrative department to strictly adhere to the guidelines, issued in letter and spirit, the circular says.
Pertinent to mention that SRO-43 of 1994 (militancy related) provides for immediate financial support to the family/NOKs of the deceased individually, killed in militancy related incidents, in the form of Government jobs or cash compensation in lieu thereof.
