RAJOURI, Feb 21: John Samuel, Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle today inaugurated ‘Post Office Festival’ and ‘Philately Exhibition’ in the border district Rajouri.
The inaugural function was held at Himalayan Degree College, Chenani Bagla, Rajouri amidst the presence of large number of people and hundreds of college and school children.
On the occasion, two special covers on “Chingus Fort” and “Poonch Fort” were released by John Samuel. It was followed by Quiz competition and Philately workshop for the school children.
During the Philately Exhibition more than 21000 postal stamps on historical, cultural and other themes were put on display. The exhibition was visited by hundreds of people from different walks of life.
Superintendent of Posts, Rajouri Postal Division C M Bhat conducted the Philately Workshop and Quiz competition for the school children.
