JAMMU: A portion of embankment and fence got washed away due to flash floods along the Indo-Pak international border in Ramgarh Sector of Samba district. “Around 15 to 20 metres of embankment and fence yesterday got washed away after flash floods due to heavy rains near forward Kamaur Border Outpost in Ramgarh Sector,” official sources here today said. They said senior BSF officials had rushed to the spot to assess the situation while measures are being taken to repair the damaged embankment and raise the portion of fence. In the recent past several attempts of infiltration bids have been made from across the border in Ramgarh, Arnia and Ranbir Singh Sectors, besides ceasefire violations. BSF had successfully foiled the infiltration attempts and also gave befitting reply to the cross border firing. (agencies)
