Porter’s foot blown up in mine blast

RAJOURI,  Oct 10: The left foot of a porter deployed with an Army unit was blown up  in a mine blast near the Line of Control in Jhangar area of  Nowshera sector today.
Reports said the mishap took place when 35-year-old Raj Kumar, son of Roshan Lal, resident of  Makri village, working for an Army unit in the forward location near Jhangar area over stepped a land mine while  carrying goods. In powerful explosion, he lost his left foot. With serious injuries he was shifted to the local Army hospital and then referred to Military Hospital Rajouri.
