JAMMU: A civil porter was killed while one BSF jawan suffered injuries in ceasefire violation in Jammu region on Friday, police sources here said.
“A sniper shot was fired from across the border this evening at around 1700 hrs at Chakla PP-2 in Pargwal area in which a civil porter was killed,” police sources said.
They said that the deceased porter was identified as Deepak Kumar, son of Jeeta Ram, resident of Bhalwal Bharth, Tehsil Pargwal, district Jammu
Meanwhile a BSF jawan got injured in cross border firing as Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement on the Line of Control in Poonch district. (AGENCIES)
