JAMMU, Oct 2: Hamid Hashmi, a Poonch youth has received prestigious National Youth Icon Award.
International Youth Committee has conferred the National Youth Icon Awards to the winners from across the South Asia. The winners including Hamid Hashmi were invited to receive the award at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi on the occasion of World Youth Summit 2019. The award carried a gold medal, citation and a shawl.
It is noteworthy to mention here that Hashmi is a resident of village Narol, tehsil Mendhar of district Poonch. Hashmi is Managing Director of Jammu Kahmir People’s Parliament. He is a graduate from The Law School, Univ-ersity of Jammu. Hashmi is a noted columnist and have written a number of columns in different reputed newspapers.
National Youth Icon Award is the premiere and the highest youth award in India for excellence in developmental work aim to raise the profile of young people and highlight the contribution they are making towards developing a fairer, sustainable, peaceful, and prosperous future for the nation.
