JAMMU, Jan 10: J&K Polytechnic faculty has demanded confirmation / regularization through J&K PSC or UT Administrative Council from Incharge Lecturer, HoD, Principal to Lecturer, HoD, Principal at an earliest.
In this concern, the Polytechnic deputation called on K K Sharma, Advisor to the Lt Governor and appraise him that recently J&K School Education Department regularised its Officers/ Faculty members vide State Administrative Council decision number 166/22/2018 dated 07.12.2018. We are also the permanent employees of the Department of Technical Education (Polytechnic Sector) and deserve regularization on the same pattern, they demanded.
The deputation informed that they have been given assignments for higher posts and they have also completed the minimum required service for DPC, which has ignored them on the one or the other reason best known to the administrative department.
“Many of us are working in the capacity of Principal/ HoD/ Lecturer but even not confirmed at the level of Lecturer and still designated as Demonstrator in the seniority list. Presently there are many posts kept vacant due to retirements and creation of posts,” they added.
The Advisor assured the delegation that within in a span of two weeks time, the confirmation at all level of cadre strength shall be ensured.
The deputation comprised of Er Kuldeep Singh Bhatia, Er Sanjay Gupta, Er Zia Ul Haq Kohli, Er Tariq Amin Khanday, Er Rajiv Kohli, Er Pawan Kumar, Er Deepak Kumar, Er Shokat Ali, Er Ajay Thappa, Er Jasdeep Kour, Er Sakshi Kapahi, Er Depak Gupta, Er Des Raj, Er Vishal Nayar and others.
