Sir,
What an eye-opener wrtiteup ‘Unite against pollution’ (DE June 14, 2019) by Satyarath Pandita. The writeup left me dumbfounded and at the same time impelled me to look into the mirror to see my ‘true-self’ and pick my pen to write what my inner sense feels.
We as the people of India must not forget that we are Global citizens too. As an aforementioned entity, we are compelled to be both liable and responsible to save what we are living in. This year the theme chosen for World Environment Day is “Air Pollution”. Production of harmful pollutants like CFCs (Chloro Fluoro Carbons) and Ground Level Ozone should be supervised. Franklin D. Roosevelt aptly said, “A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself.” We must join hands to beat pollution. These are the things everbody should ponder over.
