JAMMU: The State unit of BJP will get its new president on December 20 for the which the elections will be held on the scheduled date.
“Elections to elect new State president will be held on December 20 at party headquarters while all arrangements have been finalised for the exercise”, party sources here said.
Sources said that nearly 40 members from Mandal and District bodies have rights to cast their vote to elect their new head, adding, “BJP MLA from West Sat Sharma is the ‘most favourite’ candidate and front runner in the race”.
Party sources said that Mr Sharma may be elected unanimously as new State BJP Chief replacing Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma.
BJP National Secretary Sham Jaju will be acting as observer during the election process, sources asserted. (AGENCIES)
