Few politicians, families exploit Art 370 for personal gains: NCP

JAMMU, May 28: “Article 370 has outlived its utility because common-man has not been benefited from this constitutional provision”.
This was stated by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Randhir Singh while interacting with media persons here today.
Singh stated that only few politicians and families have exploited Article 370 for their personal gains.
He said that this provision has given rise to separatist tendencies and a thorough debate should be held on Article 370 regarding its merits and de-merits.
He added that there is a need of hour to provide union territory status to Ladakh and Jammu as a separate State.
Singh demanded closing of around 30 brick kiln starting from Bathera, Bawetalab, Mishriwala, Purkhoo, Domana in the radius of 10 kilometer as the same are polluting the environment and will prove health hazard for the people in the near future.
