The article “Political Consensus on Terror” (April 26) highlights a significant and commendable moment in Indian democracy.
The bipartisan unity displayed at the All-Party Meeting in New Delhi, and the compassionate resolution passed in Srinagar, reflect the maturity and resilience needed to combat terrorism. While it is heartening to see political leaders rise above divisions, it is equally important that this unity translates into sustained action-both in strengthening security frameworks and healing communities.
The emphasis on accountability, strategic retaliation, and civic solidarity must continue beyond moments of tragedy. Kashmir’s powerful message of peace and heroism also needs greater national and global amplification.
Terrorism seeks to divide and weaken, but India’s united front, combining strategic firmness and social resilience, sends a strong message: our democracy will not be shaken.
