Chenab as dumping ground
Sir,
It was quite heartening to see that the work on four laning of National Highway from Udhampur to Banihal is going on at a quick speed ‘However, I was also shocked to see that the company engaged with construction of the highway was dumping all the waste material in Chenab near Cafteria morh Ramban. It not only pollutes the water but causes water born diseases. As a result of it, marine life in the river is also getting affected. The authorities are requested to tackle the problem right now, before it may be too late.
