In reference to CEO Jammu’s half page advertisement dated 2nd Aug.2014 in connection with the special drive for inclusion of names in the electoral roll of J&K I would like to bring to your notice that the toll free number 1950 given for enquiries appeared to be a worst joke for electors because this number when dialled was answered to be out of service.
Secondly, the required documents attested by a Gazetted Officer submitted by us (the migrants) were not accepted. We were asked to get these documents attested by Zonal Officer. Does it mean that Zonal Officer who is not a gazzeted Officer is more authoritative than a Gazzeted Officer? Thirdly Form No. 6 was not provided to us. We are asked to take online print out of the form or get the one photocopied.
Is all this being done as per the rule of Election Commission of India.
