Reserved category employees protest at BJP office

JAMMU, Dec 22: BJP senior leader and former MLA, Devinder Singh Rana today made it clear that transfer policy for reserved category employees posted in Kashmir valley will be framed in line with commitment of Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha.
Addressing the protesting Reserved Category employees in front of BJP Headquarters Trikuta Nagar here today, Rana said they will not allow any person of Jammu belonging to any community to be `Guinea Pigs’.
“It is our moral duty and we will not backtrack from our words”, he said, adding “All leaders who came to meet protesting employees including former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta, former Minister and BJP vice president, Sham Lal Sharma and former Minister and BJP general secretary, Dr D K Manyal are fully committed to their words and it is a promise with you in this regard that transfer policy will be framed in line with commitment of the LG”.
Rana in an emotional voice said “If our sisters weep there is no fun of our to be here,. It is not politics and don’t consider yourselves week,” he added and assured the protesting employees that BJP will get transfer policy implemented.
Earlier hundreds of reserved category employees from Jammu serving in Kashmir Valley held a massive demonstration in front of BJP Headquarters here. The protesters including male and female employees shouted slogans in support of their demands.
The protesters with placards and banners in their hands were demanding fulfillment made by the promise of Lt Governor. They asked BJP leaders to come out from their office and reiterate their assurances to the employees who were earlier assured that they will get the transfer policy framed for the reserved category employees who became the safe targets of the militants in Kashmir Valley after their colleagues were gunned down in front of their offices.
The women employees sobbing took the Government and BJP leaders to task for not trying to find any solution to their problems. They entered into heated exchanges with Kavinder Gupta also who assured them that they will take up their issue with Union Government too.
The protesting employees said why the party could not persuade the Government during last seven months and why the employees seven months salaries were not released till date. They also wanted to know how LG took such a decision without giving audience to them and what the party was doing over this period.
