Policy for regularization of SPOs demanded

JAMMU, Feb 28: General Secretary Panthers Trade Union, Sewa Singh Bali has urged the Government to frame policy for regularization of SPOs of J&K Police.
In a handout Bali said that SPOs are working with honestly since long and have given many sacrifices in maintaining law and order in J&K.
He also said that recent orders passed by the Government of India for enhancement of salaries of SPOs has given no benefits to the newly appointed SPOs.
Bali said that the Government should issue necessary directions for framing the policy of regularization of SPOs as the same will benefit 35,000 families.
He claimed that so far he has written in this regard to many officers and ministers but no action has been taken regarding the matter and that files are still pending in Civil Secretariat, Jammu.
