Srinagar, May 27: Anantnag police today unearthed a fake voter ID-card racket by arresting two persons in Bijbehara in South Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Zahoor Ahmad Wani son of Feroze Ahmad Wani resident of Malpora Wanpoh was arrested by Anantnag police and recovered 32 Fake voter ID Cards and a voter list from his possession.
A case (FIR No. 95/2013 U/S 420. 465, 466 RPC) was registered in Police Station Bijbehara against him. Further investigations lead to the arrest of another person Mohammad Umer Teli son of Ali Mohammad Teli resident of Kamed Teelipora. The duo was dealing in providing fake Voter ID Cards to the people.
