Police solves rape and blind murder case of 9-yr old girl

KATRA, Feb 24: With the arrest of four hardcore criminals, Katra Police has solved the case of gang rape and blind murder of a nine-year old girl, whose body was found in a rivulet in the town on February 8.
The arrested accuseds have confessed that they kidnapped the minor girl on January 24-25 and killed her after gang rape. This was informed by SSP Reasi Sujit Kumar, while addressing a press conference, here today.
The nine-year old girl of Pahar Gunj area of Katra town had gone missing on January 24-25 January 2016 and on 8th of February, her body was found in a small rivulet in the town.
“Only a cap was found from the spot of kidnapping and working on this minor proof, a Special Investigating Team ,  led by Adl SP Samir Kotwal,  rounded up a suspect namely Pawan Kumar of Sila Reasi,  who disclosed the names of his three associates in crime. Police also arrested the trio, identified as Madan Lal of Kanjalai, Rajinder Kumar of Gran Morh and Prashad Singh alias Parshotam of Gandhali Panera.
“All these four accused are hardcore criminals who kidnapped the minor girl in a car and repeatedly gangraped her and later on murdered the victim,” said the SSP and added that the accused have been booked under Section 302 and 363 of Ranbir Penal Code (RPC).
