Police solves case of theft at Asst Labour Commissioner’s office

UDHAMPUR, May 4: Udhampur Police have arrested one accused in connection with the theft at the office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Udhampur at Dandyal.
As per the complain, unknown persons had broken into the office, damaged Government property and stolen a laptop along with accessories. Based on the complaint, a case FIR was registered at Police Station Udhampur under sections 331(4), 305, and 324 BNSS.
During investigation, one Rahul Sharma, son of Hans Raj of Ward No. 17, near Santoshi Mata Mandir, who was already under arrest in case FIR No. 145/2025, confessed to the crime. Acting on his disclosure, police team recovered the stolen laptop, keyboard, and mouse from his house and further investigation into the matter is underway.
