UDHAMPUR, May 3: With the arrest of main accused, Police has worked out blind murder case of a former SPO, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances at village Sarrar, near Sudhmahadev in Chenani on May 1.
The arrested accused is a co-villager of the deceased and some old rivalry was stated to cause of the murder.
The deceased, identified as Subash Chander, son of Ishar Dass of Sarrar Chenani was found dead with some injury marks on his body. To investigate the case, a Police team comprising of SDPO Chenani Vinod Sharma, SHO Chenani Inspt Ajit Singh and others was constituted by SSP Udhampur Mohd Suleman Choudhary.
During investigation, some suspects were rounded up and subjected to through interrogation. One of the suspects, Balbir Chand of Sarrar, Chenani, broke down during interrogation and admitted the commission of crime. On disclosure of the accused, weapon of offence was also recovered and seized.
