Police reunites 4 missing persons with families

KATHUA, June 20: Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP, R C Kotwal succeeded in tracing out four missing persons within the district who were immediately handed over to their legal heirs.
Police said on January 23 in 2019 a missing report was lodged at Police Station (PS) Billawar by one, Des Raj of Dhanu Parole, of tehsil Billawar, distrcit Kathua stating therein that his son namely Ramesh Singh had gone missing from his residence for which they lodged a missing report in concerned Police Station vide DDR No. 12 dated 23.01.2019. Whereas all efforts have been made by the family members but the whereabouts could not be ascertained. Acting instantly on the missing report, the search was started and police team of PS Billawar traced out him on June 11 this year.
In addition to this another missing report was lodged at this Police Station about a lady namely Shivali Devi, wife of Ravinder Singh of Hottar who went missing on May 31 this year. She has been traced out on June 12 and both were immediately handed over to their legal heirs after completing all legal formalities.
In another incidents two more missing reports of PS Kathua about ladies namely Pooja Andotra daughter of Jainder Singh of Ward No. 08 Nagri Parole, district Kathua was filed in the Police Post Nagri on March 27. She has been traced out and case closed. Another missing lady namely Rakia wife of Manzoor of Kamla Katyar tehsil Kathua was reported missing January 8 last year. She has been traced out and her missing report was closed on 18.06.2021.
All the missing persons were handed over to their legal heirs after completing all legal formalities.
