SAMBA, Nov, 20: District police Samba foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing five bovine animals in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal.
A police party of PS Ghagwal at Naka NHW Tapyal, intercepted a Mahindra Bolero load carrier bearing Registration Number JK08F/0188 for checking.
During checking the vehicle, five bovines were found laden inside the vehicle without any permission and were tied in a cruel manner.
The vehicle was seized and all the five bovines were rescued and shifted to a safer place.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 167/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered in Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started.
