SAMBA, Aug 20: Ghagwal Police has traced a kidnapped girl and reunited her with her parents within a week after her kidnapping.
Police said that on August 14, a written complaint was received at P/S Ghagwal from one Munu Gujjar S/o Alaf Din R/o Gujjar Barti Malani, Rajpura stating therein that his daughter was missing from home since yesterday.
Acting on the complaint, a case FIR No. 110/2018 U/S 363/RPC got registered at PS Ghagwal and manhunt started to trace out the kidnapped girl. A special team on the directions of SSP Samba, Dr. Koshal Sharma was immediately constituted under the supervision of Additional SP Samba, Raja Adil Hamid for the recovery of the kidnapped girl at the earliest which was headed by I/C, P/P Rajpura, SI, Karnail Singh under the close supervision of SHO, Ghagwal, SI, Bansi Lal and under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Samba, Deepak Digra.
The team conducted raids at different places in and out of the district Samba and finally with the assistance of technical police team of DPO Samba succeeded in recovering the kidnapped girl from Kari Ramta, Akhnoor district Jammu.
The accused person has been arrested from the spot. After completing legal formalities, the girl has been handed over to her parents. The people of the area appreciated the swift action of district police, Samba in timely recovery of kidnapped girl and thus averted a major law & order problem.
