POONCH, July 28: With the arrest of one person the police claimed to have recovered the kidnapped minor girl from Mandi area of Poonch district.
Official sources said that on July 24, one person namely Mohd Sadeeq, son of Ghulam Hussain, resident of Salonia, Tehsil Mandi lodged a written complaint wherein alleging kidnapping of his minor girl by some unknown persons.
On this a case FIR No.76/2023 U/S 363 IPC was registered at PS Mandi. Soon after this, DySP Hqrs Poonch Afrat Hussain under the supervision of ASP Poonch Mushim Ahmed and overall supervision of SSP Poonch Vinay Sharma, constituted a team led by SHO Mandi Inspector Mukhtiar Ali .
The team with the help of human and technical intelligence, recovered the kidnapped girl from Rajouri along with accused person namely Layaqat Hussain, son of Mohd Rafiq from Jandrola, Mandi.
After conducting the medical examination of the girl and proper counselling, the girl has been handed over to her guardians. Investigation of the case is under way.
