Srinagar, Dec 22: Police Public School in Khannabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district was gutted in a major blaze this evening.
Police run drug de-addiction centre and several barracks were also gutted in the fire.
Anantnag SSP, Abdul Jabbar, confirmed the incident. He said there have been no casualties or injuries to anybody in the blaze.
According to reports, the fire erupted in upper storey of Police Public School at about 8 PM today.
Fire tenders and police men were rushed to control the blaze. Official residences of many police officials, including SSP Anantnag, are located near the school.
