Police produces challan in attempt to murder case

SAMBA, Aug 29: Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh, police has produced challan in the court of law against criminal “Parveen Kumar” of Mananu, Samba in an attempt to murder case registered at Police Station (PS) Samba in 2020.
A written complaint was received at Police Station, Samba from one Krishan Lal, son of Falo Ram of Mananu tehsil and district Samba containing the averments that on July 20 in 2020 his brother namely Sukhdev Raj while on his way to home was wrongfully restrained and attacked with sharp-edged weapon (‘Toka’) by one Parveen Kumar, son of Kullu Ram of Mananu tehsil and district Samba with the intention to kill him.
The victim Sukhdev Raj received grievous injuries on his head and on arms in the murderous attack by the accused and was immediately shifted to District Hospital, Samba.
Acting upon the complaint, a case FIR No.189/2020 U/S 341,323,307 IPC, 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Samba, accused Parveen Kumar was arrested by police and investigation was started.
After completing the investigation, police closed the case as challan as offence has been proved against accused Parveen Kumar and produced the same in the court of Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Samba for judicial determination. The investigation of the case was conducted under the supervision of SHO Police Station Samba, Rajeshwar Singh, DySP Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
Pertinently, on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh police are disposing of pending cases on priority with high degree of professionalism in Samba district and culprits who were hitherto evading arrests are being nabbed conducting raids at suspected hideouts.
