SAMBA, Mar 3: After taking the charge of Samba Police Station, Inspector Suraj Pathania, SHO today took a special initiative and installed barricades on National Highway for controlling the road accidents.
According to the report, for last many months the road accidents increased day by day in Samba. Few days ago a speedy truck rammed two vehicles at Samba when the driver lost the control on the vehicle. Today SHO Samba along with his team and senior officers took a good initiative and installed barricades on Jammu Pathankot National Highway at Samba to check the rash driving.
Police said many times the accidents occurred at Main Chowk Samba and after erection of barricades the drivers will control the speed and the threat of accidents will be minimal in the area.
SSP Samba, Shakti Pathak and DySP Headquarter, Samba Tilak Raj Bhardwaj also visited the spot and made people aware of the traffic rules and regulations especially those who were moving on wrong side of the road.
Dy SP Headquarter, Samba, Tilak Raj Bhardwaj was also present and he while briefing to media persons, said that people walk on wrong side and park the vehicles on National Highway which is also main cause of the road accidents. He said Samba police took an initiative and installed the barricades on NH due to which drivers will drive in a limited speed in the area.
