KATRA, Aug 13: Displaying efficiency and honesty, Katra Police helped a Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrim to get back his missing bag containing cash and valuable documents.
The unclaimed bag was found by Police in the Bhawan premises. After taking it into custody, Police searched the bag and found an amount of Rs 14440/- as well as some other valuable documents like driving license, PAN card etc from it.
Thereafter, an announcement with regard to the unclaimed bag was made through Joint Police Control Room Bhawan. One Pankaj Singh, son of Awash Singh of Lucknow, approached to Police Station Bhawan after hearing the announcement and claimed for bag. The pilgrim said that he had been searching for his missing bag here and there. After proper identification and verification, Police handed over the bag along with cash and other documents to its owner.
