JAMMU, Oct 18: Police today handed over a lost purse containing Saudi currency and some important documents to its owner.
According to a police spokesman, a woman identified as Akam Bibi wife of Mohd Irshat, resident of Rajouri, whose son was admitted in Ward No 11 in Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, today registered a complaint regarding theft of her purse containing 61 Riyal (Saudi Arab currency) some documents and a bank pass book in Ward No 11 of the hospital, with police post, GMCH Jammu.
He said soon after receiving complaint, Inspector Rajesh Kumar, Incharge of the police post along with some cops reached the spot and started interrogation of the patients and attendants in the Ward, and in the meanwhile a man identified as Kuldeep Raj, who found the purse in abandoned condition in a nook of the ward, handed over the same to police.
“After proper receipt, the purse was handed over to her owner”, the spokesman added.
