DODA, May 13: Police here today destroyed wild cannabis cultivation at multiple locations across the Doda district.
Police sources informed that Dy.SP Headquarters Doda, Ajay Anand along with his team conducted a special anti-narcotics drive during which wild growth of cannabis plants spread along the Doda-Beoli road area was destroyed and uprooted.
Similarly, under the jurisdiction of Police Post Premnagar, cops destroyed wild cannabis cultivation spread over about 2 kanals of land.
In yet another operation carried out under the jurisdiction of Police Post Bhalla, wild growth of cannabis plants spread over approximately 1.5 kanal of land was also destroyed.
The drives were conducted as part of the district-wide campaign aimed at eradicating illegal cultivation of narcotic substances and creating awareness against drug abuse among the general public.
