Police Deptt bids adieu to Doley

JAMMU, June 5: A warm send off was given to D R Doley Barman, at an impressive function held here last evening. The function was attended by DGP Dilbag Singh and other senior officers.
Doley, a 1986 batch IPS officer superannuated as Chairperson cum MD J&K Police Housing Corporation on May 31 after rendering more than 32 years of service.
Doley had joined the department in December 1986 and remained posted at different positions during her service career. She served as SDPO Reasi, SP Traffic Srinagar, AIG (Pers) PHQ, SSP Udhampur, DIG Traffic, DIG Administration PHQ, IGP CID, IGP Hqrs PHQ, ADGP Hqrs PHQ and ADGP HG/CD/ SDRF.
She also served as Director North East Police Academy and Director SVP National Police Academy, Hyderabad during her deputation to Government of India.
Speaking on this occasion, DGP Dilbag Singh highlighted the contribution of Doley to J&K Police and also to the institutions she served during her deputation. He said that her work for welfare of Police personnel will be long remembered. The DGP also highlighted the capabilities of the officer and said that her excellent organizational skills contributed much to the organization.
A short film on the career of Doley was also screened on the occasion. The function was attended by galaxy of senior police officers and PWWA members.
