Police cracks whip on lottery sellers; 3 held

Srinagar, Dec 11: Police today said that it cracked whip on lottery sellers in summer capital here after receiving multiple complaints against them.
A police spokesman said that Police Stations Kothibagh and Maisuma in city centre were receiving constant complaints from the public that some lottery agents were selling lottery tickets around Lal Chowk area.
“Acting on these complaints, police identified some agents and touts who are routinely indulging in such activities. A number of raids were conducted and three agents who were identified as Sadiq Ahmad Sheikh, Mohammad Syed Ahangar and Waseem Rasool Bhat were held,” he said.
The police asked people to contact cops if they have any complaint against the lottery sellers.
