JAMMU, Nov 28: In a significant decision targeting terrorists based in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK), police today attached properties of seven such terrorists in Kishtwar district while assets of 29 more terrorists operating from the neighbouring country have been identified and would be attached shortly.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, Anand Jain told the Excelsior that properties of seven terrorists of Kishtwar based in Pakistan/PoJK have been attached today while process to identity assets of 29 more such terrorists is on. After completion of legal formalities, properties of these 29 terrorists will also be attached, he said.
“These terrorists operating from Pakistan and PoJK have been trying to coordinate terror activities and attachment of their properties here will be a major deterrent,” the Jammu Police chief said, adding this will tighten the noose around terror operatives.
Asserting that such actions are part of a broader strategy aimed at dismantling terror ecosystem, Jain said this will ensure that no asset is used to fund or support anti-national activities. He declared that those harbouring anti-national elements or providing any kind of support to the terrorists will face severe consequences. Click here to watch video
Properties of seven terrorists were identified after a long drawn exercise by DySP Vishal Sharma, Chief Prosecuting Officer. NIA Special Court Doda Judge Sudesh Sharma had issued attachment orders of the properties under Section 83 CrPC yesterday and the orders were executed today by the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) of Kishtwar Police.
Seven terrorists hailing from Kishtwar and operating from Pakistan/PoJK whose properties have been attached include Shahnawaz Ahmed son of Ghulam Mohammad R/o Chirool Padyarna, Bashir Ahmed Mughal son of Ghulam Qadir Mughal of Jugna, Keshwan, Gazi-ud-Din son of Mohammad Ayoub Gujjar of Jugnal Balna, Keshwan, Sattar Din son of Mehar Dunb Gujjar R/o Jugna, Imtiyaz Ahmed son of Aziz Mohammad Sheikh of Banderna, Kishtwar, Muzaffer Ahmed son of Abdul Samad Dev, a resident of Semna Colony Zewar, Kishtwar and Javid Hussain Giri son of Mohammad Amin Giri R/o Kundali, Pochal.
Properties of the terrorists attached by the SIU Kishtwar include land which was in their possession. The attachment orders were executed by the SIU under tight security arrangements during the day today.
There have been credible inputs with police and security agencies that nearly 36 terrorists from Kishtwar who had exfiltrated to Pakistan and PoJK using different routes long time back are using their contacts with the youth to lure them into the militancy to cause subversive activities.
Police and Intelligence agencies have kept many families and youths of Kishtwar and neighbouring Doda district on radar to ensure that they don’t fall in trap of the terrorists operating from Pakistan and PoJK.

Sources said an exercise in on to identify properties of 29 more terrorists operating from Pakistan and PoJK who hailed from Kishtwar district and as soon as the task and legal formalities are completed, the properties will be attached.
There have been inputs with the police and security agencies about the locations in Pakistan and PoJK from where the terrorists of Kishtwar are operating. Most of them are affiliated with Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen outfits.
