Police busts vehicle lifters gang, recovers Alto, 11 two wheelers

SAMBA, Jan 10: Samba Police busted a gang of vehicle lifters and recovered 12 stolen vehicles from their possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana today.
A police team of PS Bari-Brahmana during the investigation of a two wheeler (scooty) theft case registered under case FIR No. 245/2021 U/S 379 IPC at PS Bari Brahmana during the year 2021, detained a suspect namely Shiv Dayal, son of Rajinder Kumar of Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana.
On sustained interrogation, the suspect confessed his involvement in the said theft case. The stolen scooty ‘Activa’ without Registration Number was recovered in the instant case. One more Scooty Aactiva 5G stolen in some other theft case having Registration Number PB08EH/2533 was also recovered from the accused.
On further interrogation, the suspect divulged the name of his associate who is involved with him in other theft cases.
Acting on information disclosed by the accused, police conducted raid at the house of his associate namely Shani Gujjar of Kikri Morh, near Purmandal Morh, and recovered nine motorcycles and one Alto car from his Kullah.
However the accused Shani managed to escape from his house before the arrival of police raid party on the spot.
The recovered vehicles included Pulsar 220 bearing registration Number JK02BS/6178, Chassis Number MD2A13EZ0GCF33031, Engine No. BKZCGF49832, Super Splendor without No. Chassis No. MBLJA05EW G9K39113, Engine No. JA05EGHH9G3631,
Pulsar 125 CC bearing registration No. JK02CQ/5003, Chassis No. MD2B64BX2 LRF11635, Engine No. BHXRLF68057 and Discover 135 CC bearing registration No. JK02AJ/4165, Chassis No.MD2DSJNZZPCF88154, Engine No. JNGBPE97461.
The operation was led by police party under the supervision of SHO Bari-Brahmana, Inspector Rajesh Sharma.
