JAMMU, Jan 27: District Police Samba has arrested a drug peddler and recovered 2.5 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance from his possession. The arrest was made in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba.
Police said a party of PS Samba while on patrolling duty, noticed one person found roaming under suspicious circumstances at NHW near District Administration Complex Chowk.
On seeing the police party, he tried to escape from the spot but was apprehended by Police. During his search, 2.5 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance was recovered from his possession. The arrested person was identified as Ismail alias Bacha, son of Lal Hussain of Rakh Barotian, tehsil, Vijaypur, district Samba.
A Case FIR No 13/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Samba and investigation started.
