SRINAGAR, Feb 10: Police arrested three gamblers and recovered stake money of rupees 2,500 from the gambling spot here today.
A Police spokesman said that after acting on information, a police party of Police Station Panthachowk raided a gambling site in Panthachowk area of Srinagar and arrested three gamblers from the spot
He identified the gamblers as Parvaiz Ahmad Ganaie, Manzoor Ahmad Ganaie and Irshad Ahmad Mir, all three residents of Zewan area.
“The stake money of rupees 2,500 and playing cards were recovered from the gambling spot. A case FIR number 06/18 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation was taken up,” he said.
